Semana 9: LIVING THE DREAM

Hola Familia!!

Life is good! I love Michigan it is super hot and humid, but cloudy a lot and sometimes warm rain- hahah prepping me for Ecuador!

The work is slow right now, we find lots of people to teach, but all the appointments fall through- sad :( but We keep going and keep looking for people!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. It is amazing to put aside all fears and just go talk to random people and share the gospel with them! Even if we can't teach them a full lesson we can touch them with the light of Christ!

This past week we had exchanges with the sister training leader! It was fun to learn from her and see how other missionaries work and how other areas are! We do a lot of gas station contacting, where we stop at gas stations, pretending to get gas and talk to people there! It was funny I was getting pumped listening to a song in the car before (because it was my turn to talk) and when I got out of the car I was very enthusiastic about it and said to this one guy "HII!!!" and went on my little rant hahah I probably freaked him out, and later I realized how crazy I acted hahaha oh well!!! That's what happens when you have the "greenie fire" !! WAHOO I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK 

Spiritual Stuff:
This week I have been studying a few things and one of them is about Christ and how he is our Advocate. When we go to the judgement bar, on judgement day, Christ will be there advocating to God for us, pleading that he have mercy on us. WOAH Christ loves us so much!!
This is only possible through baptism. We can't fully utalize the atonement without baptism!! SO THATS WHY WE NEED TO BAPTIZE !!! So we can all use the atonement and be fully clean!!! and so we can all be worthy for Christ to atone for our sins! WE NEED TO HELP OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS

ALSO I have been studying a lot about Families. Literally families are ordained of God. They are so important to Him. Think about the world and how cultures and values and morals are changing. But the idea of family and the importance to family never changes. Even if the structure of a family changes in some people's eyes, the importance of family doesn't change. It is amazing that Heavenly Father protects family like that!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FAM!!!!!!

Anyway life is good, I'm just chillin over here baptizing nations in Michigan, being EXACTLY obedient and LIVING THE DREAM!!!!!!

1- what do you eat for dinner...give examples? Like what did you eat last night? eggs, bread, fruit, I am not usually hungry because lunch is so filling 2-  How does money work?  How much do you get and does it seem like enough? HOLA!!! So today is a lot more chill, we are at the church first and then we are going to go to downtown Detroit!! So pumped! 1.  Have you heard anything about your visa or travel plans? Nope, I think what will happen is I will get contacted the day before I am supposed to leave. So I won't know for the next few weeks propbably haha oh well 2.  Who is Devon?  You mentioned he committed to baptism but want to know the story there... He is just an investigator we have! We haven't been able to teach him since then though :( 3.  Tell me something more about your companions! 1.  How are you feeling?  How long did you have a fever?   Im MUCH better, I had a fever for a few days I had diahrria for this past week, but they took me to the doctors and got me some pills and  Im all good now! all the greengas get sick (I asked my friends and they got sick too) 2.  Jenna wants to know if you took one of your blankets with you?  ;) yes hahaha 3.  We looked at Buena Fe on google maps, cute little place.  Are there really  chickens hanging everywhere in front of stores?? yeah  I guess haha there are random dogs and chickens hha 4.  What is it like there? a city, but everything is so run down, there are all concrete houses, and sometimes wood houses, a lot of poverty 5.  Do you walk around everywhere, seems like a fairly smallish area...?   yes or we take the bus or the taxi or these little motor bike carriage things haha I dont know how to describe it  6.  Wh...
