Questions from Mom week #1

Below are the questions Mom asked and Kelsey's answers.  This will happen most weeks, a good way to communicate!

1.  Is there such a thing as too many letters or packages in the MTC?  I can try to slow down (and will do so naturally some!) 

No I LOVE getting letters and packages!! I get so excited when I get mail- so send away! I gives me motivation and brigthens my day!!

2.  Is there anything you need?  


Uh i'm not sure yet.. I ll let you know

3.  What kinds of things would you like to get in a package?  I know you were not excited about candy, I have a little more candy to send your way because it’s cute but I’ll slow down!  I’ll try to think of other things to send!


I loved the rolls lol- uh  Im not sure haha if I think of anything Ill let you know-

4.  How do you get along with Hermana Jennings?

She is awesome! She is more quiet than me so sometimes when I run out of things to say its quiet haha but it is still fun- I love her shes adorable

7.  How do you get along with roomies and district?  Anybody hard or tricky?
No not really! but it has only been a week haha Ill get back to you on that

8.  Who are your teachers?  What are they like?  What do you like/not like about them?
Hermano Truman is my teacher- hes cool- just an average teacher- super nice and a good teacher!

9.  How is the Spanish???  Have you felt any high school Spanish helping you?
Esta bien! It is coming- Things are deffinitly coming back- I can tell I know a lot more than most of the people in my district

10.  What is the best part of your day?
Depends- I like class and study time and gym time

11.  What do you do in the gym?
play volleyball, stretch and do smaller exercises

12.  How is the food?  What are you eating?
it is not bad- similar to the cannon center but not as many choices- Im doing good on not eating sweets from there! I eat an apple almost evvery meal!

13. Are you sleeping ok?  Has it been ok falling asleep without your phone?
I've been totally fine- no problems, I haven't notice I don't have my phone hahah it has been a lot easier than I thought to sleep without it haha 

14.  How is your health?  Have you been feeling ok?  Any issues?
I have been good! just sometimes the usually- lots of gas (which I don't let out in front of anyone!!) hahahahahaha I've taken some of those digestive pills haha

15.  Have you been sad/homesick at all?
On friday I was for a bit- but not anymore- I'm just always super busy- But i still love and miss you guys!

17.  What will p-day look like?
Free time until 6:00 which is when we have class. So we got up at 6:30 (like we do everyday) and get ready ate breakfast and then came to the lab to email! Then we are going to the temple at 1:30 

18.  Have you seen other friends at the MTC?
yep! but I already told you some- also Ryan Hall I see sometimes 

19.  Has time gone by slow or fast for you this past week?
The first few days were slow but then they started going faster.  I know it will keep going faster tho 

20.  How many missionaries total have you met going to your mission?
I'm not sure but A TON its so weird

My Daily Schedule:

6:30 am- get up get ready
7:30 am- breakfast and study/ prepare for the day
8:30-11:30 am we have class
Then it changes up a bit when we have exercise time but 
so usually its study lunch exercise time
then study then dinner
6-9 pm is classs
then to bed

How do you get Mail?:

So our District leader picks up slips for packages and then letters in our mailbox 
then he gives us the slips and we go pick up the packages

Where are the people in your district going to?


Hermana Jennings, Hermana Williams, Hermana Yardley, Elder Dempsy and Elder price are  going to the same mish as me

Hermana Wilson and Hunt and Elder Turnbow and Olson are going to Costa Rica!

Did you really cut your companion's hair?

YEP hahaha she wanted to cut her dead ends off and I offered to do it!!

1- what do you eat for dinner...give examples? Like what did you eat last night? eggs, bread, fruit, I am not usually hungry because lunch is so filling 2-  How does money work?  How much do you get and does it seem like enough? Every other week we take out $100 for 2 weeks  3-  can you watch videos on the google drive? yes but only during my one hour! 4- do you have time to see the photos we put on the google drive from home? yep! HOLA!!! So today is a lot more chill, we are at the church first and then we are going to go to downtown Detroit!! So pumped! 1.  Have you heard anything about your visa or travel plans? Nope, I think what will happen is I will get contacted the day before I am supposed to leave. So I won't know for the next few weeks propbably haha oh well 2.  Who is Devon?  You mentioned he committed to baptism but want to know the story there... He is just an investigator we have! We haven't been able to teach him since then though :( 3.  Tell me something more about your companions! Uh Sister Leder is gluten free so maybe you could send more granola? ;) hahaha They are super funny and really hardworking! I also wrote you a letter mom, but you wont get it until you go home, email me when you see the letter though! 4.  What did you do for p-day Saturday? shopping, cleaned our car, and yeah haha. 1.  How are you feeling physically this week? SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!! Im finally feeling like my good old self again!! 2.  How are you feeling emotionally this week? SAME as the first question 3.  How are things with your companion? better, still hard but getting better. She tells me what to do a lot in a rude way but we are getting bettter 4.  When you said last week that your companion attacks you and is sassy, what do you mean...give an example.  (Please keep in mind if your companion is bullying you that it is something you should talk to your mission president about.) no I think it is just the way she talks to me...Dont worry we are getting better, but she just gets angry when I do things wrong or I dont understand. We talk about it everyday haha but we still have fun and laugh together! 5.  So I most likely will be sending you a package in October.  It will go to the mission office and then make its way to you through zone...
