Answers to moms questions

1-  Where are you?  (Hopefully you know more than just “in Ecuador” ;)
I live in Buena Fe and my ward is the Buena Ventura Ward!
2-  Who is your companion?
Hermana Samgana

3-  where is she from?
Peru

4-  how long has she been out on her mission?
10 months

5-  does she know any English?
no

6-  Are you in an apartment or house?
apartment with Hermana Yardley and Hermana Castrollin

7-  what’s it like?
Tropico hahah (or like Mexico)

8-   Cold showers?
YEP hahaha

9-  How is the food?
not bad! a lot of rice and chicken! and juice!! and soup

10-  Do you have food made for you like we thought?
everyday a member feeds us almuerzo and then we eat a little in the morning and night

11-  How are you feeling physically?  Is the food or water bugging you?
So yesterday I got a fever, still have one today, I´m fine though, I´ll be better soon. the food is fine, We have a filter at home for the water

12-  ok, rewind to last Monday when you arrived...you got off the plane, went through customs and then didn’t see anybody.  I’M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!  When did you start to worry?
Yep!! after like 20 minutes when no one showed up! I had to wait for 2 hours! super triste, this nice man started talking to me, just a random man lol

13-  did you know missionaries were on a flight behind you?  Dad and I think that a mistake was made, I bet you were supposed to be on that other flight too!  And I bet the Alarcon’s did not know you were coming earlier.  They would not have left you alone.  I bet that is why Presidente gave you his phone to email us and send a picture!  But it all worked out!!  Do you know any more about that?

yeah they were all behind me, not sure why I wasn´t with them... must have been a istake yeah I think that is what happened

14-  so what happened after you finally met up with the others?  Did you see The Alarcon’s first?
yep and some other missionaries including Hermana Jennings!!! She came with the "welcome party" hahaha and ELder Wilson!

15-  where did you stay that first night?
I stayed at this apartment for 2 nights (where H Jennings lives)

16-  then what did you do?  We saw a temple pic, did you go?  And obviously met your trainers and had meetings.
yep! I didn´t meet my trainor untill wednesday

17-  How is the Español???  Can you understand or communicate very much ??
esta bien and nope hahha

18-  How are you emotionally?  Is it lonely or isolating with the language?
not really, it is frustraing sometimes when I can´t understand. I have cried in the bathroom like 2 times hahaha but I am good!!

19-  How is the heat!!??  Any A/C anywhere? You did not look sweaty in any pics ;)

Not bad! the clouds help!! no ac but fans help!!

20-  How is the mission president and his wife?  Could you communicate at least a little with them?
Awesome! so sweet and kind (there house is SUPER nice) and sort of

21-  Have you had any lessons?  Any investigators?
A  few, its been a weird week, friday my comp had to go to the doctors in guayquil so I went to a different area and saturday was my first real day of proselyting, we mostly are trying to figure out the area (my comp is new to the area too!)

22-  What is your Ward like?
awesome! big and loving and welcoming

23-  seen crazy bugs or stray dogs?
lots of stray dogs, not many bugs

24-  Do you get any attention for being an American from strangers or anyone really?
yeah everyone stares at me haha

25-  What is your normal daily schedule?
studies and food and proseltying (sorry not much time to explain)

26-  have you seen anybody from the MTC?
Elder Pricew and Dempsy, H Jennings and I live with Hermana Yardley

27-  Do you need anything?  Hopefully you can buy most things you might need there but if you are having tummy troubles or other health related problems I might be able to get things here to help you.  There are 2 couriers I can send things with that both come once a month.  So there are ways!

I´m good! we have stores!

28-  speaking of that, did you get a package?  If not, ask!  I wanted it to be a surprise when you got there :-). I actually sent it when we thought you were going to Ecuador the first time!!  I sent it before your travel plans changed!  So it waited there for you for 6 weeks...oops!

29-  Have there been mosquitos?
yep not that many though, i love the lotion bnug spray

30-  How do you do your laundry?
we have a washing machine, but its sort of hand washing too.. its confusing. but we hang dry everything

1- what do you eat for dinner...give examples? Like what did you eat last night? eggs, bread, fruit, I am not usually hungry because lunch is so filling 2-  How does money work?  How much do you get and does it seem like enough? HOLA!!! So today is a lot more chill, we are at the church first and then we are going to go to downtown Detroit!! So pumped! 1.  Have you heard anything about your visa or travel plans? Nope, I think what will happen is I will get contacted the day before I am supposed to leave. So I won't know for the next few weeks propbably haha oh well 2.  Who is Devon?  You mentioned he committed to baptism but want to know the story there... He is just an investigator we have! We haven't been able to teach him since then though :( 3.  Tell me something more about your companions! Uh Sister Leder is gluten free so maybe you could send more granola? ;) hahaha They are super funny and really hardworking! 1.  How are you feeling?  How long did you have a fever?   Im MUCH better, I had a fever for a few days I had diahrria for this past week, but they took me to the doctors and got me some pills and  Im all good now! all the greengas get sick (I asked my friends and they got sick too) 2.  Jenna wants to know if you took one of your blankets with you?  ;) yes hahaha 3.  We looked at Buena Fe on google maps, cute little place.  Are there really  chickens hanging everywhere in front of stores?? yeah  I guess haha there are random dogs and chickens hha 4.  What is it like there? a city, but everything is so run down, there are all concrete houses, and sometimes wood houses, a lot of poverty 5.  Do you walk around everywhere, seems like a fairly smallish area...?   yes or we take the bus or the taxi or these little motor bike carriage things haha I dont know how to describe it  6.  Wh...
