We
got to help clean the Provo Temple this morning! They are going crazy, adding
new carpet and walls! It is under complete construction, but we got to go in
and help clean!! I got to vaccum the initatory rooms! IT is so weird to see the
temple like that!!
Wednesday:
So
last Wednesday during our TRC lesson I felt a prompting to share a scripture I
didn't have planned and it was so cool! The gift of tongues is so real!! When I
don't use my notes and just trust in the spirit to tell me what to say he helps
me!! It is so important to rely on the spirit!!
We
watched a devotional that night about religious freedom and then got to watch
fireworks from the building! Nothing like Aunt D fireworks hahah but still fun!
Thursday:
On
thursday we fasted for a sister in our zone that has been struggling. It was a
cool experience fasting not on sunday! haha
Friday:
Marked
our 1 month so we did face masks and had the martinelliese that mom sent us
haha I ll send pics
Saturday:
We
started teaching the other district in our zone. It is an interesting
experience because we teach the other Elders and it is hard not to laugh
because they make faces at us when we try to teach them! probably not the best
idea for us to teach each other- but oh well hahah
We
had the funniest Sub that day! He was super loud and animated! Also he let us
out of class early, so we went back to the dorms and got all ready for bed and
planned on going to bed early when
THE
FIRE ALARM WENT OFF. WHAT. So we had to postpone bedtime and wait
outside- there was no fire. We still don't know why that happened. Probably a
faulty system. It was crazy haha
Also
the next morning the fire alarm went off again. At that point it was just
annoying, hahaha
Sunday:
Sunday
was really hard for me. I was super sick and having cramps and during church I
wasn't participating as much as I usually do and was just feeling awful. Then
during Relief Society I felt prompted to share my favorite scripture, Helaman
5:12. As I read it i felt the spirit stronger than I ever felt it before. I
cried so hard. It was honestly embarrassing because I'm trying to read it but
can't because I'm crying so much haha. I just felt this scripture testify to me
that if we have a foundation of Christ, even after the toughest winds and being
dragged down, we can climb back up. We can find peace again even after all that
pain if we live a Christ-like life.
My
new favorite song is "Peace in Christ" I LOVE IT
Tuesday:
We
went outside today and did some contacting! hahah We just walked up to random
missionaries and asked if we could share a message (just for practice)
Sometimes they didn't speak spanish so we translated for them. It wasn't so
scary- but only because they were other missionaries going through the same
thing haha
It
will be more nerve-racking when I get out into the real world!!
Challenge:
I
think you should all read Helaman 5:12. I love it so much. Think about Christ
and think about your own life. How can you come closer to Christ? What can you
change about your daily life to progress and come closer to Him?
Our
purpose as Missionaries is:
"Invitar
a las personas a venir a Cristo"
"To
invite others to come unto Christ"
So I
invite you to come closer unto Christ. Learn a little more about him. He is
your Brother!! Live a more Christ centered life!!
Anyway
I hope you all have a fantastic week
I
love you all, I love being a missionary. I love this Gospel and I am so
grateful to have it in my life!!
I
will add more pictures to the google drive, but here are a few!
LOVE
YOU ALL SO MUCH
NEXT
TIME YOU HEAR FROM ME I WILL HOPEFULLY BE IN ECUADOR!!!
assuming
my visa gets here haha
Hermana
